There are many actions you can still take to help reduce unnecessary idling:

 

remind friends, family, co-workers and other people

 

distrbute materials (freely available materials can be found here and ordered from various government agencis)

 

install an idle free sign at your school, place of work or business

 

request a school, place of work or business install an idle free sign

 

start an idle fre campaign at your school, place of business, or place of worship (need inspiration?  Check out some of these campaigns. Search using 'urban' as community type.)

 

encourage your councllor to bring forward an idle free bylaw (find a councillor)

 

request your MPP bring forward idle reduction legislation (contact an MPP)

 

encourage your MP to prohibit sale of technologies that promote idling, such as remote vehicle starters (contact your MP)
